Helios Mutual Fund has introduced the Helios Financial Services Fund, an open-ended equity scheme aimed at capitalizing on the growth opportunities in the financial services sector. The public subscription period for the scheme started on May 31, 2024, and will end on June 14, 2024, with the fund reopening for ongoing subscriptions and redemptions within five business days after unit allotment. This scheme is designed to invest in equities within the financial services industry. Samir Arora, the founder of Helios Capital, highlighted that the fund offers investors a chance to benefit from the strong growth potential of the Indian financial services sector, ideal for those interested in long-term wealth creation.

The scheme’s investment objective is to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing mainly in equity and equity-related securities of companies in the financial services sector, although there are no guarantees. Investors can start with a minimum investment of ₹5000 and there is no upper limit. The fund will track the Nifty Financial Services Total Return Index, selected as the benchmark for its comprehensive reflection of the Indian financial market, covering sectors like banking, financial institutions, housing finance, NBFCs, and insurance. The trustees reserve the right to change the benchmark if a more suitable one is identified in the future.

There are no “Entry Load” fees for this scheme, making it cost-effective for investors to start. The “Exit Load” charges are:

  • Nil for up to 10% of units redeemed or switched out within three months.
  • 1% of the NAV for units exceeding the 10% limit if redeemed or switched out within three months.
  • Nil if units are redeemed or switched out after three months.

The fund will be managed by Alok Bahl and Pratik Singh. It is important to note that this scheme carries a “Very High Risk” rating, meaning that investors’ principal is exposed to substantial risk. Potential investors are advised to consult with their financial advisors to ensure this investment aligns with their risk tolerance and financial objectives.
